Review - June 2026
What a scorcher! Temperatures have been our biggest challenge this month. The team have coped tremendously well. We made a few tweaks to working hours and kept the fridge well stocked but they were a credit to the business.
It has been very busy in a lot of ways. From a numbers standpoint we’ve had a very good month. Comfortably beating last June and ending the first quarter a good amount up on the year’s Q1. A few customers and a few returning lapsed customers have helped bolster the numbers. We work very hard to look after our existing business but new business and, essentially new business from lapses, is always exciting.
We started the month by adding our first female sponsored athlete. Somerset Women’s star all rounder Niamh Holland joined the team. Niamh is having a breakout season for Somerset where she sits at the very top of the T20 wicket taking charts. As a genuine all rounder Niamh has been a big reason Somerset have progressed from their group. Good luck to them in the next round.

Amarin made it’s debut at Old Trafford. Misterton FC Under 14s took to the Theatre of Dreams adorned with the Amarin logo. We’re trying to make something happen with Yeovil Town for the team soon.

I spent the day at Kingsholm speaking to groups of secondary school students. My talk on Communication was well received and the day as a whole was a huge success. We have built a very strong bond with Gloucester Rugby’s Charitable Foundation this season. Long may it continue.
Excitingly we were announced a new official partner of Yeovil Town. An Amarin executive box, Fanzone stage sponsorship (in association with Gloverscast Podcast) and much more to come. This really is a big deal for our profile in the area. Brand awareness of Amarin is high at the moment some of the new customers I’ve talked about have come from our sponsorship deals. Having spent the day at Somerset CCC last week meeting our players, Lewis and Niamh, and talking to the commercial team we are very well known and well thought of there too.

As always thank you to our staff, customers and suppliers.
Alex
