Amarin Community Fund - Misterton FC
Back in October 2025 we were contacted by Matthew Tither. Matthew is the Manager of grassroots Under 14 football team Misterton FC. Misterton are based in a key area for Amarin of Crewkerne in Somerset. We have a number of customer in Crewkerne and the surrounding areas.
Matthew had learned about Amarin from our sponsorship of Yeovil Town loanee Andrew Oluwabori. The gaffer’s request was for sponsorship for a very special day. The team had been given the opportunity to play at the home of Premier League giants Manchester United. The “Theatre of Dreams” itself, Old Trafford. Understandably the chance to play where legends like Sir Bobby Charlton, George Best, Eric Cantona, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney have graced the pitch is too good to pass up!
Although we were unable to offer a full sponsorship the Amarin Community Fund made a donation to support the team. No expectation of anything more than helping a group of youngsters have an incredible day. Alex received an email from Matt in late May to say that Amarin would in fact be on their shirts for the big day.
Fast forward to Sunday 7th June 2026 and the team got their moment, walking out at Old Trafford. The kit looked great, even the rain couldn’t dampen their spirits. Playing under the floodlights only added to the experience. The boys would go on to finish runners up in the Plate competition and 4th overall. What an amazing achievement in the most special surroundings.

We hope to continue to do our community work with Misterton FC in the future and already have plans to try and link up with Yeovil Town FC for some special things in the coming season. We are very glad the day was a huge success and proud to have played some small part.
