October 2024 - Review
It seems crazy that we are now in November, where has this year gone?
October was a month with plenty of annual leave, including myself, but the team have delivered another great month. Year on year this month was up again by a very encouraging percentage. Despite both having family holidays this month both Aron and myself have been out seeing customers. We’ve seen some of our newer accounts really start to bear fruit which is very positive.
The team in the office have been busy but very productive. I was able to enjoy a week away without any worry of how the team were coping. That is testament to the ability and professionalism of both Mariet and Wanda. Rhu and Lewis, in the workshop, have been getting through their workload with great efficiency. This enables us to meet the deadlines our customers require.
This month we had our first real team meeting, and work from that is ongoing in multiple areas. We are always looking at how we can grow the business, work more efficiently and build our customer base. These type of meetings are not something that happen all that often but it was certainly a very positive discussion involving everyone.
At the beginning of November we are due to host a Roadshow in association with Bristol’s ice hockey team Bristol Pitbulls and First West of England. The roadshow will be taking place with Amarin sponsored player, Tommy Nappier, at Priory Community School. The school is not far from here in Weston super Mare. The event is a chance to have some fun with the students and talked about Ice Hockey and the importance of healthy living. When we agreed to sponsor Tommy for this season this was exactly the sort of community event we had in mind.
As we move towards the busy festive period we’ve got a lot to do. We have nearly 200 of our, very popular, calendars to distribute along with our Christmas cards. We are currently finalising plans for our plans for our Christmas party. All of these extra bits fall along side the normal day to day of getting the sales in the door and delivering on our promises to our customers.
We had a very strong end to 2023/24 financially and so the work begins now to match that and build on a tremendously positive start to this financial year. As always thank you to our staff, customers and suppliers.
