Amarin Player Sponsorship - 2025 Review
In 2024 Amarin took their first steps into sports sponsorship as a way to raise the company’s profile. Tommy Nappier, netminder for the Bristol Pitbulls ice hockey team, was the first player we sponsored. Through our partnership we established a great relationship with the fan base through social media interactions and community projects. Following the success of this endeavour 2025 became our first full year of utilising this type of partnership to its full potential.
Early in 2025 we were contacted by Exeter Chiefs. The club offered us a half season sponsorship agreement with Italy international Ross Vintcent. Having agreed a mutually beneficial deal we made use of Ross at Tor Rugby for a Youth training session. This allowed us to give something back to our community and get to know Ross. Following this amazing evening Ross visited us here at Rolstone Farm and Ian and Alex spent a wonderful evening with Ross at Exeter’s end of season presentation evening. Even though the partnership did not continue into the 2025/26 season we still stay in touch with Ross.
Lewis Goldsworthy – Somerset CCC
Much like the Ross Vintcent deal Somerset CCC contacted us following an event. They offered a half season deal again and we have not looked back. Lewis went on to be an integral part of Somerset’s Vitality Blast title win. He also was a near ever present in both the County Championship and Metro Bank Cup teams. During this time the club did a tremendous job of spreading our name and our work to it’s audience. We have been supported in so many ways from giveaways to Somerset fans to our team being able to use their facilities for meetings. We have already signed up for another year with Lewis. Us and Somerset can’t wait to see what we can achieve.
Following the success of our sponsorship of Ross at Exeter we knew that rugby was a good market for us. The exposure it gave us in different key areas was huge. The club’s excellent fan interaction on social media made Gloucester a very attractive prospect. Following discussions we agreed to sponsor new signing, Scot Jack Mann, for the coming season.
Along with the player deal we also agreed a television advertising deal for in ground media. This has been a great success. Jack has been a wonderful addition to our extended family and has helped us in a number of ways already. A training session with Weston RFC’s under 14s, allowing us to giveaway several pairs of his match worn boots to fans and most recently attending their “Secondary & Young Adult Education” event as a player appearance. We hope to see a fit Jack back on the pitch and doing his thing in 2026. Hopefully in time for a 6 Nations and World Cup call up!
A long time friend of Aron’s wife Kate, Dan was keen to get involved with Amarin when he joined Bath Rugby. Returning to his boyhood club after spending time at (amongst others) Wasps and Exeter Chiefs Dan joins the undisputed best team in England and Europe. Sadly injury has curtailed a lot of what we had planned for Dan, and his pitch time, but lately he has regained fitness and scored key tries when called upon. In 2026 we have big plans for the hooker and look forward to see him pushing on for international honours.
Andrew Oluwabori – Yeovil Town FC
Having been match sponsor at Yeovil Town Football Club previously we had long been looking for a longer term relationship with the National League club. When Andrew Oluwabori joined the club on loan from Exeter City FC we took the opportunity to support his time at the club. Yeovil have been wonderful partners and supported everything we have done with our sponsorship. We are due to be match sponsor for their upcoming FA Trophy game against Maidstone United.
These partnerships may come and go, and the faces may change but the bonds we are forming with fans in these areas is very valuable to us. In 2026 we have something different and exciting to announce that isn’t sports related but another first for the company. Stay tuned.
