Amarin Go For Gold
Following the successful sponsorships of both Ross Vintcent at Exeter Chiefs, and Tommy Nappier at Bristol Pitbulls we are pleased to announce our latest signing.
With player announcements from both Bath Rugby and Gloucester Rugby currently under embargo we have signed another deal. We have another local sporting powerhouse on board. Somerset County Cricket Club. Somerset went close in 3 competitions last season. The club reached the final of both the Vitality Blast 20 over and Metro Bank One Day Cup 50 over tournaments. In addition to this the club were in the hunt for their first County Championship title until the last day of the season.
This season has started well with the team already having qualified, for a 5th year running, for the Quarter Finals of the Vitality Blast with games to spare. A vital part of all of those teams is 24 year old all-rounder Lewis Goldsworthy. Lewis was a stalwart of both the County Championship and Metro Bank Cup teams last year. This season he has forced his way into being an integral part of the best 20 over team in the country.

Batting anywhere in the order, bowling left arm spin in those difficult middle overs and being a dynamo in the field Lewis adds much to the team. When Lewis signed a new 2 year contract last summer Somerset Director of Cricket Andy Hurry said, “Lewis is a very good all-round cricketer, and we are delighted that his development will continue with us for at least the next two years.
“He is a player with great tenacity and determination, who has the ability to positively influence games with the bat, the ball and in the field. We are excited to see where his cricketing journey takes him in the next two years and beyond. We are also looking forward to witnessing the contributions that he can continue to make in helping us achieve our aspirations to win even more silverware.”
Amarin, are extremely excited to be associated with Somerset, with Lewis Goldsworthy and to continue to grow our brand awareness in our key areas. The deal gives us significant growth in profile and business opportunities. We are grateful to Will Hall-Tomkin at Somerset CCC for helping put the deal together.
