March 2025/Annual - Review
Where did that 12 months go? Dad (Ian) retired 12 months ago and after a period of transition we have had a very good year.
The year has had it’s challenges but I am proud to report a record year. In terms of both sales and profitability we have seen a fantastic result for my first year at the helm. The team have all worked incredibly hard to bring in new business. We have expanded existing business and to found new suppliers to help us manage costs.
This year we have been shortlisted for a business award, we have started the “Amarin Community Fund” to give back to our local community and we have taken our first steps into sponsorship. Our sponsorship of Bristol Pitbulls goaltender Tommy Nappier, Exeter Chiefs back row Ross Vintcent and as a matchday sponsor at Yeovil Town FC have all yielded great things. Our social media following continues to grow week on week which will only help raise our profile.
We have had some great team building events including raft building and our recent day at Taunton Racecourse. The year ends with the same team we started it with which is something I am very proud of. We are already looking at tackling West Country Water Park in the summer!
By leaning on Aron’s background in Health & Safety we undertook a full review. We made some improvements and, although we were always compliant, we are now in a very good place with things of this nature. Aron is in the process of adding SOP documents for all of our processes and Rhu passed another First Aid course to give us a good level of coverage.
As far as March 2025, we had a good finish to the year and got a lot on the books for April to kick off 2025/26 with a bang!
Overall I have enjoyed the challenge of this year. Some tough times but with a good support network we’ve made a real success of it. Thank you to all of our staff, customers and suppliers for making my first year a great one. Here’s to many more!
