Retirement Announcement

It is with huge appreciation and thanks that we today announce that our founder and Managing Director, Ian Howells, will retire at the end of this week.

After 21 years, taking the company from it’s inception, with partner Martin Dibble, (About us) to our biggest ever year of sales (2023/24) the time is right for the next phase of Ian’s life. Ian’s hard work, commitment, and passion to make Amarin a success is unmatched.

Over those 21 years Ian has become a Grandad twice over to Charlie and Noah. He has travelled the globe and given his time and support to so many both in and out of the business. Now after a near 50 year working life it is time to enjoy the fruits of his labour.

The company reshuffle is already underway as Ian attempts to pass on his knowledge to the remaining team. This is vital to ensure that Amarin’s customers, new and old, continue to receive the service which makes the company stand out from their competition.

Friday’s team building evening doubled up as Ian’s retirement celebration, and was an amazing evening. Over the coming week we will reflect on Ian’s impact on the business, the people around him and his family. For now though everyone at Amarin offers a huge, heartfelt, thank you for everything and wish Ian an amazing retirement.
