September 2025 - Review
Wake me up when September ends! Not a bit of it here. We were working hard until close of play on the last day of the month.
We ended the month very strongly, with a lot of work done late in the month to hit deadlines and boost sales figures. After half a year we are nearly 10% year on year which is fantastic. 2025/26 will be our first full year without Ian since retirement and so much has changed in that time. To say I am proud of the team is an understatement. We’ve had some issues in the last few months but the way the team has come together and taken on new responsibilities is amazing. We are in a great place to push on and smash our annual sales record.
September saw me sign up to be a Mentor for Weston College’s “Business Enterprise Challenge“. I am really excited to be asked by Weston Hospicecare to get involved. It’ll be great to see what the students come up with, and how I can help.
Jack Mann joined Alex in attending training for Weston RFC’s Under 14s training as part of his sponsorship with us. Jack was amazing with the kids and they all learned a lot and went home happy. The Mums insisted on a picture with the big man too, which he obliged with a smile!

Following a hugely successful half season sponsorship with Somerset CCC we’ve signed up for another season. Lewis Goldsworthy played a huge part in the team’s win of the Vitality Blast cup at Edgbaston, Somerset’s run to the Metro Bank Semi Finals and scored a wonderful hundred in the final County Championship game of the season. It has been a breakout season for Lewis and we’re very happy to be coming back for another year by his side.
Our final bit of exciting news was taking up a sponsorship with Yeovil Town FC for the first time. On loan star Andrew Oluwabori comes on board and scored on his first day with us, which also happened to be his birthday! Exciting times ahead.

October looks good at this point and the hard work continues for all of us. Thank you as always to our staff, customers and suppliers.
Alex
