Thinking Outside The Box
As a company Amarin continue to be sustainably successful. Sales are on a positive upward trend, profitability too but what more can be done?
New faces over recent years have bought new ideas to the company. The traditional view of who we sell our products has been challenged by the likes of Mariet and Aron. Their experiences in other industries and positions within allow them to offer up fresh ideas of where Amarin can look in the future.
With our large in house capacity, and range of service the company are well placed to offer a bespoke service. Our CNC router has capabilities that we have yet to truly explore and this has been a focus recently. Our staff are being paid anyway. The lights and kettle are on anyway. We want to make sure that our machinery is in use as often as possible. With that in mind Aron has recently reached out to the local Carnival scene in, and around, Somerset.
The local Carnival circuit kicks off anytime now, with the bigger events such as Bridgwater’s famous Carnival peaks around November time. The time, effort and creativity that go into the floats is huge and we are happy to help. These floats can hold dozens of dancers and literal tonnes of other items to present a memorable experience. All of this goes to try and woo the judges and win the very important, and highly contested prizes.
Last weekend the team were in cutting shapes from wood for one club. Our machinery offers a superb quality of cut and finish, this can help set one float aside from many others. The club were very happy with what our design team came up with and we wish them the best of luck this autumn. We have reached out to other clubs offering the same services. This type of work in wood, or glass materials is not our usual medium but as we try to think outside the box with our skills we’re happy to work with customers old, or new, to assist with their needs.
Growth in a competitive marketplace is not easy but the team do a great job of pushing the boundaries of what is possible and breaking the norm.
