Staff Breakfast Meeting
A table crammed full of sausage sandwiches, pastries and more greeted the Amarin team this morning.

The catering was the, now traditional, precursor to a staff meeting. Although every Monday sees the team, in full, gather together to plan the week ahead these meetings are more than that. At these meetings, held around every 6 months, the Management Team update all the staff on the company’s progress, plans and future. The breakfast beforehand helps facilitate a more open conversation later on by beginning with everyone relaxed and engaged.
Everyone ate together discussing the fortunes of their football teams at the weekend, or what they did while away from the office. It is always a nice time for the team to come together in a relaxed environment. Aron and Alex had prepared a presentation including Aron’s trademark comedic power-point animations!

The meeting lasted 2 hours and covered the ongoing sales figures and the successes the year to date had seen. It did though cover where the company can grow and improve also. There is no better time to try and address any potential failings than when things are going well. The team discussed some subtle changes that could be made in and effort to improve the smooth running.
Staff engagement in these conversations is vital for everyone to feel invested and part of the future. Aron covered the recent structural changes and the success that it has been. Participants covered things like our plans for Christmas and potential team events for next year. There was an open discussion about marketing (including sponsorships), improvements and gave birth to some really good ideas for Alex to explore.
Overall the meeting was once again a huge success and the energy leaving the room was hugely positive. Things are flying at the moment and the team are keen to ensure it stays that way.
