Review - August 2026
Sat here typing my month end blog with a bad back. I must being getting old! I’ve had to take 3 days off this week to rest my back and all I can say it the team have stepped up massively.
We’ve done ANOTHER record month. I am proud as I can be of our team. I am proud of what we’re doing as a company. I am proud that the strategies and initiatives we’ve put in place are now bearing fruit.
We stay true to who we are though. No flash purchases, no grandstanding, hard work and outstanding customer service. We had one Sunday this month where a customer had an issue and Ian (retired since April ’24), Aron (lives in Bridgwater) and me were all in the workshop on Saturday and/or Sunday sorting it out so the customer could run on Monday. That is the Amarin difference. That is the extra mile we are all so proud to boast about. It’s not £££ it’s that feeling that a customer can ring in genuine need and get help. That goes a lot further than anything else we can say to them. We prove ourselves over and over again.
On a lighter note the team had a great day with family and friends in our box at Yeovil Town FC last weekend. The Glovers turned on the style and stuck 3 past Gateshead to send the Amarin crew, and 3,000 others home happy.
This Sunday we are supporting Weston-super-Mare Golf Club and Weston Hospicecare on their Captain’s Golf Day. We are sponsoring the 18th hole where dreams are crushed and champions made. The hole will include a Hollywood style Amarin sign on the back of the green. There is also an additional bounty on offer for anyone who can birdie the notorious difficult hole on the day.
I’m very tired, my back hurts and I’m looking forward to the Bank Holiday weekend but my god I am proud of everyone here.
Thank you as always to our customers, suppliers and especially staff.
Alex
