May 2024 - Review
Phew…what a month that was!
There are so many things effecting businesses at the moment that it has been a tough month for many. Aron and myself have been told my multiple customers and suppliers that things are quiet within many industries. The two Bank Holidays always shorten the working time in May, it is a traditional time of year where people start to look for some sunshine abroad.
The conflicts around the World are still effecting supply chains. Some materials are harder to come by, and so are carrying a premium. Shipments from certain areas of the globe are being re-routed adding to both lead times and carriage costs. We are doing our best to manage these issues and still offer the level of service our customers expect.
Our team have worked absolute miracles in the last fortnight to get achieve the sales figures we have this month. We have, again, managed to better last year’s month (April Review). That is two months of 2024/25 and two improvements on 2023/24 which is great. I am extremely proud of everyone for rolling up their sleeves and throwing themselves head on into the challenge when things were looking tough.
Aron continues to break new ground, and explore new areas and both of Aron and I are only able to get out and about because of the stellar work by our office team. The workshop team have got us ahead of the game with their orders for next month, largely, ready to go already.
June will be once again a month with challenges with annual leave, the weather and I am sure other things. We have some good work already on the books so I look forward to seeing what we can achieve. Thank you, as always, to all our staff, customers and suppliers.
