April 2024 - Review
It has now been a month since Ian retired and, although a bit strange, everyone has stepped up and we have had a brilliant month.
The office and workshop have been non-stop and despite some annual leave, some illness and injury everyone has worked tirelessly. We have had a very in-house heavy month with literally every machine going every day.
Aron continues to find his feet out on the road and is succeeding in breaking new ground for the company. His infectious enthusiasm has been a great addition and the feedback from customers has been universally positive.
I have managed to get myself back out on the road too seeing customers. This is something I have always enjoyed and due to all the various movements of the last month or two I have not been able to do so as much as I would like. It is, and always has been, as important to look after our existing business as well as find new.
In the office Mariet and Wanda have moved seamlessly into their new responsibilities. Everything is ticking along nicely, and all our customers are getting what they need from us. Quick responses, timely quotations, and a friendly voice on the end of the phone makes a big difference. We’ve even managed a big tidy up and some gardening.
From a numbers standpoint this month is a year on year increase of 9% for April which is brilliant and a really strong start to the year for us. With consolidation being our initial target, after a record year this is great. Internally we have a more challenging target which would represent a big step forward for the company. After April we’re ahead of that. It’ll be a big ask for the team to achieve it but they’re all up for the challenge.
With a solid amount of work on the slate already for May the hard work continues but I’m very proud of everything we’ve achieved this month.
