June 2024 - Review
As the weather finally starts to improve, after what seems like months of rain we’re half way from 2024. The summer is always an odd time for businesses in our sector. Annual leave, Bank Holidays and even Music Festivals (Godney Gathering) make catching up with people much harder. The lifeblood of our business is the personal relationships and interactions that all of our wonderful team have on a daily basis. People buy from people and building trust in our services and products is vital. With that said our team have worked incredibly hard this month.
Aron and I have been out seeing more customers, both new and old, than ever before. We are trying to balance a search for new business (of which there is a steady stream) and looking after our existing customer base. Wanda (Wanda) and Mariet (Mariet) have a really good system now to ensure we are following up our quotes. In addition, and almost as importantly, ensuring that our suppliers are meeting their deadlines. Sales are great, and obviously drive everything, but if we fail on deliveries those sales might not come again.
The cutting shop guys, Lewis (Lewis) and Rhu (Rhu), have been completing their work on, or ahead of, time. Customer feedback across the board is very positive. We’ve taken on some big fabrication jobs this month and completed them all on time and to a very high standard.
This month saw the culmination of a large project we have been working on with one of Europe’s biggest aeronautical companies. The quotation we have provided is the biggest in our history, and early indications are very favorable from the customer. That is now at a Senior Management level and very exciting. If this were to come to fruition it would be a lot of work but an incredible achievement for Amarin. Credit to Aron for project leading this. Fingers crossed!
Overall June hasn’t broken any records but business remains busy on a day to day basis. Looking ahead to July there is a number of jobs already ongoing, some big orders from across a number of sectors. Hopefully with such a positive start we can push on and have a really strong month. Thank you as always to our team, customers and suppliers.
