December 2024 - Review
Happy New Year to everyone, I hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year period.
2024 seems to have flown by and as we look at what 2025 can bring us it is exciting. Last year we said goodbye to Ian, who is about to embark on a trip to Australia. His retirement is going very well. Although it is always nice to see Dad I am proud to say we’ve not needed to call on him much at all. Aron has been with us a year now and has been a wonderful addition to the team. As well as bringing us such glories as “Cheese & Biscuit Monday” and “Air Fryer Thursday” he has bought hard work, fresh ideas and a lot of positive energy to the business.
There has been a lot of hard work from everyone before and after Ian’s retirement. After 9 months we are now seeing the fruits of that labour. We are currently awaiting a visit from the Somerset Chamber of Commerce judges for our shortlisting for “Family Business of the Year” which is amazing. Our efforts to raise our profile are ongoing but we are starting to show now. I have been approached at Bristol Pitbulls ice hockey about Amarin, this shows our sponsorship of Tommy Nappier is working. Our awards nod has helped with that too. This is the most organic way to grow our customer base and we will continue to do things to help that.
December saw a very strong Christmas month for the Sales team. December is always a tough month as it is short, supply chains are disrupted and logistics are tough. The whole team were a credit to Amarin with their work ethic and commitment as always. We had a great Christmas night out and I gave everyone Christmas Eve off as a thank you for a year of hard work.
January, February and March were strong months last year and so a lot of hard work still to do. We’re in a great place and ready to hit the ground running in 2025, let’s do it! Thank you to all our staff, customers and suppliers.
