Amarin & Pitbulls Powerplay
With only four games left in the NIHL season we are now close to the close of Amarin’s first season of involvement in sport.
This weekend sees a doubleheader against local rival, Swindon Wildcats. This is only followed by a home game against Hull Seahawks and a final day trip to take on the Romford Raiders. The season has had it’s up and downs on the ice but progress continues to be made in many areas. Amarin’s sponsored player, Tommy Nappier, has had a stellar season. Throughout the year Tommy has won many man of the match awards. He has also become a huge favourite with the Pitbulls fans. The upcoming Awards Night promises to be a great one for the import shot stopper!
From a commercial standpoint the association has been a good one. Through social engagement, competitions and in person conversations Amarin’s social media has more than doubled this season. This is in no small part to the wonderful support we have received from the Pitbulls faithful. We have secured new customers, received orders and made lasting relationships through our sponsorship of the team.
The recent sponsors networking event was a great evening. Conversations had on that night, and subsequently, give a real impression of the strides the club are looking to make commercially. For a team so young in its, most recent, existence this type of growth and support is vital. With teams in the same division holding bigger budgets making the club a viable commercial opportunity for businesses, such as ourselves, is key to help raising funds to support the team’s growth, and subsequent success.
We have been very grateful to the team for supporting our community work. Forward Elliot Lewis joined us at Priory Community School back in November. We recently hosted both Tommy, and also fellow import Mitch Walinski, at Rolstone Farm Business Park for what was a great visit. These interactions are great for the business in terms of engagement, raising of our profile and to build long lasting relationships for both parties.
To celebrate a successful first season we will be running a competition next week. This will be to thank all the Bristol Pitbulls fans for their support and further grow our audience. Stay tuned to our social media for details. Good luck to the team in the remaining games.
