2025 Parsons Memorial Cup
This Saturday (30th August 2025) Tor Rugby Club host Dorchester Rugby Club in the annual “Parsons Memorial Cup”. The game is played between the two teams each year to remember Luke Parsons who played for Tor’s first XV, and passed away in 2022. Luke always loved playing rugby for his beloved club, and the game now doubles as a fundraiser for charity. Luke was an avid Bath Rugby fan and a great friend and team mate to many over his young career.
The game is being held at Tor’s home ground in Glastonbury. The bar is open from 1.30pm. Plenty of car parking. The rugby action kicks off at 2.30pm, and from 3.00pm until 6.00pm the barbecue will be banging out tasty treats. Throughout the day a DJ will be bringing the tunes. The club have a bouncy castle for children on site and the club is very family friendly. The festivities in Luke’s memory promise to go on late into the night as everyone remembers their former Captain.

As part of Amarin’s ongoing drive to support both it’s staff and it’s community we have reached out to our customers and suppliers to gather raffle prizes. Luke, was a close friend to Aron, who is organising the raffle and we have been blown away by the support we have received. So far we have donations from local leisure attractions, food and drink manufacturers, sports clubs and more. We have even had donations from our current and past sponsored players. All of this amazing generosity should hopefully lead to a huge amount of money being raised.
Anyone that is in the local area and can attend you will be greeted with a huge Somerset smile. If you can’t make the game but would like to contribute in any way please contact aron@amarinrubber.co.uk. Just reading this? You can help spread the word online.
Amarin Rubber & Plastics, Tor Rugby Club and Luke’s family all greatly appreciate the support.
