Social Media Growth
At the end of 2024 we set ourselves some targets (for year end 2025) to grow our social media presence. Following conversations with business minds, marketing professionals and others we set about our task.
Although Amarin had long had pages on X (formerly Twitter), Facebook and LinkedIn they had been updated infrequently. The first thing that we were advised was to maximise the algorithms of the platforms we needed to post daily, and with multiple types of content. Being that our products and services are not the most photogenic (black rubber and clear plastic don’t make for the most exciting photos) we had to be creative, especially with a new Instagram.
Our associations with various sports teams Bristol Pitbulls, Exeter Chiefs, Bath Rugby and Gloucester Rugby were a constant source of material along with our work in the community. These endeavours often produced interesting and engaging content. We were lucky enough to have access to some wonderful photography and video footage of our players.
The recent addition of Rob Rees to our team has also made a huge difference. The video Rob produced along with his brilliant capturing of site visits from both Tommy Nappier and Ross Vintcent really gave our content a professional edge. Rob has continued to produce reels, graphics and more for our social media content as part of his role.
Most of all though, and by far our most engaged with content, is our team. Whether we are raft building and falling into a freezing cold river or having a great time at the races these posts are always popular. We celebrate our people. Birthdays, work anniversaries and substantial life events, like Aron’s recent child birth, are all things we want to shout from the rooftops. Our ever growing followers list love hearing about who and what makes Amarin tick.
Our targets are well on their way to being surpassed but we always love to welcome new interest to our community…
