Safety First
As Amarin continue to settle in to a new phase of the business we have been making some changes. Throughout our history we have always taken Health & Safety very seriously, our staff are the most important thing. Recently we undertook a review of our behaviours and practices to ensure we were doing the best we can to ensure a safe working environment.
In some cases we have improved our working practices, in some we have introduced new ones. Field Sales Manager Aron Charles (Aron joins) has long been qualified in the H&S field. Aron’s knowledge, and experience has been a valuable asset in this exercise. Our safety equipment, although compliant, has been upgraded and refreshed where needed. We have invested in all new signage and added more where we felt it was required. We have identified high risk and low risk areas and implemented a dress code accordingly.
As a demonstration of our commitment to this process our staff have been bought new PPE. The team have had fun personalising it accordingly! We have also taken the time to create a code of conduct for all staff, and a Health & Safety charter. Staff will now sign up to this alongside their contracts so that all expectations and rules are understand by all. Just another step to ensuring everyone is playing their role in keep themselves, and their colleagues, safe at work.
We are holding a staff meeting on Monday where any one will be able to discuss all of this. We believe it is important to include our staff in these type of processes. This helps them feel invested in and supported. In the future we will continue to review and invest in things of this nature to ensure the long term safety of everyone.
