Review - May 2026
May has been a hot one! Given the fact we’ve had holidays, sickness and a heatwave to contend with it’s been a great month.
Last month we started off with an all time record month. May hasn’t quite reached those heights but it has been very strong and we’ve improved on last year’s mark. After 2 months we are in a very good place heading into the unpredictable summer months. We have more holiday (as you’d expect) to contend with this month but we’re in good shape.
Away from the numbers we’ve done some really good things this month in our community. We took the entire Weston RFC Under 14s side to Kingsholm, in association with Gloucester Rugby Charitable Foundation. The team got a pre-match pitch parade, to form a Guard of Honour for the teams and watch the game. Being able to provide these experiences and opportunities to local kids is a real buzz for the business and does help raise our profile in the local community. We had a great season supporting the team at Weston RFC.
We’ve got some exciting events coming up next month. Ian and I are attending Somerset CCC‘s “In-Field Business Club” event on 2nd June. The event features networking, and International Cricket Panel and a chance to watch England’s T20 Women’s International with India. Later in June Aron and I are looking forward to meeting up with Lewis Goldsworthy to discuss some community work and more!
On 11th June I’m is taking part in Gloucester Rugby’s “Secondary School Festival”. I will be giving a presentation on “Communication” to groups of students throughout the day. I really enjoy these things and it, again, helps raise our profile in a key area for us.
Got a few things with Yeovil Town FC we can’t talk about yet. We’ve also got our brand being represented at Old Trafford, home of Manchester United FC next month. More on that soon…
