Record Breakers Day Out
An overcast Tuesday in March saw Amarin’s record breaking team attend Taunton Racecourse for a day of celebration.

Following a year end team meeting at Amarin Towers the team set off at 11am. The team were housed for the day in the beautiful Orchard Restaurant overlooking the finish line. After a round of drinks the team were treated to a wonderful three course dinner. Tomato & sweet pepper soup and salmon pate was followed by a glorious rump steak with peppercorn sauce. To finish an apple and doughnut cheesecake, profiterole and chocolate gateau and lemon sorbet. Bellies were full heading down to track side.

The team had been provided with spending money as part of their reward for their successes. Some placed multiplier bets on the Tote, some took singles from the on course bookmakers. The team watched six races in all from a combination of their table in the restaurant, the finishing post and rail side coming down the home straight. There were plenty of winners had throughout the day.

Midway through the racing afternoon tea was served in a delicious array of scones, cakes and other sweet treats. As the winners continued to flow, the conversation was about anything but work. The team all enjoyed their day, and shared laughs and fun throughout.

The day out together was one of the rewards the team triggered by achieving not only an all time record year of turnover but surpassing the higher target set by Alex at the start of the 2025/26 tax year. The higher target saw something close to an 8% year on year increase in business. This, in addition to the 2024/25 year has seen the company’s turnover grow nearly 20% in the last two years. In addition to the race day the team have all earned their birthday off in 2026 as an additional days annual leave.
Everyone at Amarin is extremely proud of our achievements and look forward to trying to better it in 2026/27.
