Bath Rugby Sponsors Event
In the drizzle and chilly breeze Aron and Alex attended our first Bath Rugby Sponsors Event on 14th April.

Amarin have been sponsoring hooker Dan Frost for the 2025/26 season. It was great to see the behind the seasons of the club. Held at the very impressive, and visually stunning, Farleigh House the event saw a training session. This was followed by a South African Braai with the players.

Despite the weather Bath Head of Rugby Johann Van Grann put his charges through their paces. The team worked in front of the gathered audience for over an hour on set plays and situational movement. Photos and video of training was not allowed. Experiencing the speed and ferocity up close is something to behold. A number of international stars were on display including several British Lions. Star fly half Finn Russell took a large amount of the attention with his majestic ball handling and calm demeanor.

Our man Dan “Frosty The Showman” Frost was in action through the entirety of the session. Dan has had a frustrating first season with niggling injuries limiting his game time but certainly looks ready to go on yesterday’s evidence.
Following training the players returned showered and changed. A sumptuous South African Braai was served by the staff of the club. South African braai is a spin on outdoor meat cooking that needs to be seen to be believed. Best when kept simple, this traditional over-fire grilling takes the nation’s favorite dishes to a whole new level.

Fed and watered Aron and Alex were able to spend an hour with Dan talking rugby, shared experiences and about Amarin. Joined at their table by man mountain, South African pop Thomas du Toit, English breakthrough fly half Ciaran Donoghue and Academy back row forward Alex Ridgway. All were hugely polite and enjoyable company.
As the afternoon drew to a close Dan has agreed to join Aron at Tor Rugby next week for a training session with their youth teams. We appreciate Dan’s time and look forward to that night hugely.
Thank you to Bath Rugby for their hospitality.
