April 2025 - Review
Well what a month April has been!
I managed to get away for an amazing 2 week holiday with my little family. In my absence the team have come together and worked incredibly as a unit. Although no major issues arose they handled everything with just as I knew they would. It has been a busy month (more on that later) but they’ve all done a fantastic job. This gives me the confidence to know that they can handle things in my absence…where are those holiday brochures…

As soon as I returned to work not only was Lewis off on annual leave but our Amarin family grew again. Aron’s wife, Kate, gave birth to the wonderful Oliver “Ollie” Luke Charles on 22nd April at 1.29pm. Weighing a healthy 6lb 11oz and with no issues he and mum have been home now for a week and all is going well. Dad is on hand to do what he’s told!

This has meant that we are once again down in numbers. 2 down is always tough but especially at the end of the month and when it is busy. Again though the team have rallied around each other and come through. We even roped Ian in to driving the van for us one day. He was so exhausted he had to have another holiday.
Earlier in the month we’d added Rob Rees to our team. Rob works as freelance videographer and photographer and joins us to help update our digital presence. We’ve got our sponsored Exeter Chief, Ross Vintcent, coming to Amarin Towers next month and Rob will be around to capture that visit as he did when Bristol Pitbulls, Tommy Nappier, visited us earlier this year. We also launched an updated logo for our 22nd birthday. We have adverts in Monday’s North Somerset Show programme for the first time. A new audio project we’re working with a world renowned company on and much more in the pipeline.

With all this going on you’d have forgiven us for adopting a “just get through it” mentality. Not a thought of it. It is with great pride that I can announce that April 2025 is now our all time biggest month of sales. This month added around 4% to our previous record and given everything I couldn’t be anymore proud of the team. May has some good orders already on the books and plenty going on so onward and upward into the new tax year chasing last year’s record.
As always a massive thanks to our customers, suppliers and this month more than any our staff.
Alex
