Amarin Make Young Fan's Dreams Come True

Saturday 7th March 2026 will live long in the memory of some. On Saturday Yeovil Town FC took on Scunthorpe United at Huish Park. In attendance were a number of interested parties from Amarin. On this day not only were Amarin sponsored Yeovil manager, Billy Rowley, and sponsored player Ryan Jones involved but much more.

Leading up to the game, in partnership with the club, Amarin had run a competition to be mascot for the day. The competition got over 200 entries. A random draw saw a winner chosen and young Alfie Marsh got to have his dreams come true. As part of the prize Alfie was provided with his own Yeovil Town shirt, complete with MARSH 7 on the back. Once Alex had greeted Alfie, and his family who we’d provided tickets for also, Alfie set off with the other mascots.

The mascots were given a tour of the changing rooms, met the team and got plenty of time for autographs. Each mascot was given a football to get signed as a memento of the day. Following a drink and a snack Alfie took to the hallowed Huish Park turf. He and his fellow mascots got to warm up in front of the growing crowd. The two teams warmed up either side of them. Once warm and ready Alfie and Co headed back inside to get ready for the moment they’d been waiting for.

As the teams emerged there were two mascots of note for Amarin’s watching cast of staff and family. While Alfie walked out with winger James Daly clutching a ball that he would later go on to score a goal with at the Thatchers End, eyes had turned to the first mascot. Captain Jake Wannell had entered carrying Oliver Charles. Aron’s son, fully adorned in his Yeovil Town kit, took it all in his stride. Not bothered by the 3,000+ fans clapping and cheering he was the star of the show.

After the game Alex was presented with a signed programme by Man of the Match, Brett McGavin. The team at Yeovil value our partnership as much as we do. Executive Chairman Stuart Robins, Commercial & Communications Lead Dan Howell and Ian Welch, matchday announcer, all stopped by for a chat. We are currently in discussion with the club about opportunities next season and beyond.
