Amarin Community Fund - Nantyglo FC
After a quiet few weeks the Amarin Community Fund has sprung into action again.
Following news of our other work within the community we were approached by a customer of over 10 years. The customer in question has used Amarin for many years now for conveyor belts, plastic items and PVC curtaining. Over that time both Ian and Aron have got to know him very well. It came up in conversation that he coached a local football team. Based in South Wales the team in question was Nantyglo FC.
Nantyglo have a wide range of teams from Under 7s all the way up to their First Team who play in the Gwent Premier League Division 1. The club also have an established, and growing, Women’s setup.
The club have recently been having a push on new sponsors and supporters in order to grow their offering to the local area. Playing out of Duffryn Park, Abertillery the club have managed to raise additional funds and look set to put that to good use throughout the organisation.
Following a recent discussion with Aron we made a donation to the club. This donation was greatly appreciated by our customer, by the club and the community.
With the year coming to the end we still have some money left in the fund. We are always on the look out for good causes to support within our wider community. Over the year so far we’ve supported foodbanks, schools, cancer charities and local kids rugby clubs.
These causes are all close to our customer’s and staff’s hearts and we are happy to support them.
