Amarin Community Fund - 2025 so far
When we launched the Amarin Community Fund back in January 2025 it was to help our team support good causes close to their hearts. In the current financial times we live in it is not always easy to find an extra few pounds to support good causes. So many charities and organisations live on the generosity of supporters to keep doing what they’re doing. By launching the fund Amarin’s employees can support whatever is important to them. Most importantly though without having to reach into their own pocket.
Managing Director Alex Howells, “Over the first few months of the fund we’ve done a lot of good. Aside from the projects you may have seen publicly we have also been able to donate towards the funeral of a family member of one of our team. We have quietly supported a couple of people going through bad times but who don’t want to make a big deal of it. These are just as valuable as those projects that we’re proud to shout from the rooftops about. We will continue to look for good causes to get behind that fit our ethos.”
Over the first five months we have publicly supported five great causes:-
We donated seven crates of key components of the food packages they offer to the community on a daily basis. This weighed in at a whopping 75kg of food and drinks!

Aron’s nieces attend the school, where his sister is also involved behind the scenes. They were raising money for a new playground and we donated towards their “Coin Rainbow”. Aron recently attended as a guest of honour for the official opening of the new equipment.

Archie & Sam head to the European Championships
Nephew of Rhu’s partner Rox, Archie and gymnastics partner Sam were selected to represent Team GB at the European Gymnastics Championship in Luxembourg. We donated towards the cost involved to help them follow their dream. The boys bought home silver medals!

Cristiana Dissabo Runs Jurassic Coast Ultra Challenge!
The wife of a longstanding customer undertook to run a brutal 75km Ultra Challenge to raise money for Children’s Hospice South West. We couldn’t wait to donate some money to support her and the amazing cause.

Bristol Pitbulls Abseil for The Brightwell
Each year a team of hardy souls abseil down the sleek black outside of the Village Hotel in Bristol. They do this to raise money for “The Brightwell“. The charity enhances the lives of individuals living with chronic neurological conditions. As a sponsor of the Bristol Pitbulls when they said they were joining the abseil we wanted to make a donation in support of this brilliant cause.

As 2025 rolls along I am sure we will have plenty more brilliant charities and events to support. It is our pleasure and we are happy we can help make people in our community’s lives a little bit better.
