15 Not Out
Sunday 8th October 2023 marked the 15 year anniversary of Alex leaving a career in the finance to join Amarin. Alex joining his father, Ian, in the company made it a real family business.
Upon joining the company Alex set about learning everything he could regarding a totally new world. Having come from, most recently, the NHS there was a lot to learn. Through 1 to 1 training with Ian, site visits and hard work he got there.
Over the coming years Amarin grew year on year for the next decade. When Alex joined he bought with him fresh ideas and outside skills that could be applied to industry and Ian’s experience made it a great combination. As new premises, new machinery, and new staff all arrived the business went from strength to strength.
A change in career was not something Alex had expected or planned but after the sad passing of founder, Martin Dibble, he felt it was the right decision. “I knew that following Martin’s death that Dad would need someone he could trust to help take the company on. As much as I was doing very well in my career if felt like the right thing to do.” Alex said.
15 years have bought challenges within business, personally and in the world but Amarin stand stronger than ever with a fantastic team in place, purpose built premises to grow with us and future plans underway.
