Review - April 2026

So here we go again! After a record year of sales turnover the wheel never stops and 2026/27 starts now.

Coming off such a strong year, two years in fact, of growth means we now have to try to consolidate that. First priority year is to grow into our new normal. Systems, procedures, new staff roles etc are all key to making sure we don’t suffer a hangover from a brilliant year. We sat down as a team at the beginning of the month and went over everything from 2025/26. What went well? What could have gone better? What do we need to maintain? What can we do to, potentially, go again when the time is right?

The team all contributed to a good team discussion and some really good ideas. I’ve set some targets for this year, again linked to having their birthdays off in 2027 and other incentives. The targets are modest but consistent with our long term goals. The team are up for the challenge.

April has proved to be a strong launchpad in our chase of last year’s number. I am proud to say Amarin achieved an all time record month. Given that last April was VERY strong in it’s own right to top it is a real achievement. We have been constantly busy all month in both the office and the workshop.

One of Aron’s big wins towards the end of the last tax year was bringing a large, lapsed, customer back on board. The opportunity came through a lot of work on Aron’s part, backed up by the team. We are now in the midst of a huge order for 3 new food production machines worth of plastic guarding. This has been a huge undertaking to supply these machines to a leading international food manufacturer. The panels have to be cut, flame polished and flawless. The QC team have been working overtime on this and we’re nearly there. A real team effort that will hopefully lead to much more work.

We hosted Dan Frost of Bath Rugby at Tor Rugby for a Community event. It is always great to be able to get our sponsored players in front of kids taking their first steps into rugby. A great evening in the Somerset sun.

In other news we finished up our first season as a sponsor at Yeovil Town FC. We’ve really been taken into the club’s inner sanctum, and have already signed contracts for an exciting next season. Details to follow soon…

As always thank you to our staff, customers and suppliers.
