Frosty on Tor

A beautiful evening in Glastonbury Bath Rugby Hooker, and Amarin sponsored player Dan Frost joined us at Tor Rugby Club.

We have sponsored Dan throughout the 2025/26 season and we’ve been looking for an opportunity to get him involved in our Community work. Thursday night at Tor is Youth training night. On this occasion more than seventy five children were training across four age groups. Starting with the youngest group Dan joined in with passing drills. His enthusiasm was infectious and the youngsters loved having a larger than life professional with them. Coach James Miller, “It was brilliant tonight! U10/U11 loved playing rugby with Dan and asking questions”. The kids had some great questions…and some interesting ones too! As with our previous Community visits with Ross Vintcent and Jack Mann we had produced some souvenir cards for the boys to get signed and take home as a memento.

Moving on to the Under 12/13 group Dan got involved in rucking practice. The coaching team were working on clearing out at the ruck, and recycling the ball. Frosty offered his extensive knowledge as one of the best in the business at the breakdown. As with the youngest group Dan was fully involved in the session followed by a Q&A, autographs and photos. A few Bath shirts were signed, a few boots and even an arm or two…Aron’s 1 year old son Oliver was on hand to offer his thoughts too.

Finally as the sun began to set and the shadows lengthened Frosty The Showman joined the Under 14/15 group. That group were having issues in their scrumming and who better to help out than a man who does that for a living? Working around in small groups the kids worked on their body position. Progressing the scumming machine the former Wasps and Exeter Chiefs hooker helped will all elements of the set piece. The coaches were very happy with the progress the team made in their time under their illustrious teacher’s tutorage.

To finish the session more questions, more autographs and more photos. This was followed by a game of kick tennis and handshakes all round. Aron Charles Sales Manager, “Tor is my club and I am very proud of our youth setup. To be able to bring Ross Vintcent and Dan Frost here in the last two seasons has been brilliant. So many excited faces and a great amount of knowledge shared.”

Everyone at Amarin and Tor would like to extend our thanks to Dan for his time and wish him well for the rest of the season with Bath.
